Online Real Estate Update - Deke Dekay & Dianne Harris - Your Guide to Sonoma County Real Estate

Marketing to the Real Estate Community

One of the major focuses of our marketing is to other real estate professionals.  Studies have shown that more than 80% of all real estate transactions involve more than one agent, so the chances are good that the buyer will have their own agent representing them.  We want that agent to know about the property and be in a position to represent it professionally.

Our best tool is the Multiple Listing Service.  When we enter your property into the MLS it is accessible to thousands of agents in Sonoma County, Marin County and all over the Bay Area.  The listing presents the salient details of the property with pictures and virtual tours.  This is a web based system that is on 24 hours a day and gives us the ability to track activity of agents and clients looking at the listing.

We also personally bring your property to the attention of individual agents.  This starts with the agents in our own office.  We have 25 agents in our office and consistently lead the other offices in market share of Healdsburg sales.  We will make sure that each agent gets a personal tour and has all the marketing materials available to them.

Our office is part of a network of Frank Howard Allen offices known as the Wine Country Group.  In addition to 3 offices along the Hwy 101 corridor we have offices in Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, Napa and Saint Helena.  Our eight offices provide broad coverage throughout Napa and Sonoma County’s wine country destinations.  We network extensively with the agents in these offices since we have found that many of their clients also consider our areas as a desirable for relocation or second homes.

We also interact extensively with other local offices and agents.  We have weekly meetings where we will present your property.  This will be followed by a brokers tour where all the agents get to tour the property and we can point out all the features and answer questions.  We think it is really important that all the local agents be familiar with your property, not only so they can inform their existing clients, but we never know which office a wealthy potential buyer staying at our upscale hotels will walk into.  We want the agent who deals with them to understand and appreciate your property and present it in its best light.
